Baleen: \u00a0<\/b>Baleen whales like the North Atlantic Right Whales, Humpback whales, Minke whales and Blue whales eat plankton and krill with a filtering system called baleen, that is made of substance similar to human nails and hair. They don't have teeth and don't hunt seals or octopus and stingrays like their other cousins do, like the Orca and Beluga and Sperm whales. The baleen is thick like bristles on a huge broom.

Sea Star:<\/b> Commonly known as starfish; however, marine scientists\u00a0<\/span>insist \u201cstarfish\u201d implies vertebrae and since sea stars\u00a0<\/span>have no vertebrae and is not a type of fish, the technically correct\u00a0<\/span>term for starfish is \u201csea star\u201d.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Matanzas:<\/b> Matanzas Inlet is located along the coast of St. Augustine\u00a0<\/span>near Marineland; it is the location where Juan Pedro\u00a0<\/span>de Menendez killed over 200 French Huguenots in 1565 when\u00a0<\/span>they were shipwrecked from a hurricane and refused to convert\u00a0<\/span>to Catholicism. Hence the name \u201cMatanzas\u201d which in\u00a0<\/span>Spanish means \u201cmassacre.\u201d The inlet is a very popular spot\u00a0<\/span>for beach goers and boaters and offers a view of the historic\u00a0<\/span>Fort Matanzas.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Breaching:<\/b> When a whale jumps up out of the water exposing\u00a0<\/span>at least 40% or more of their entire body.<\/span><\/h3>\n
